2021 Clare Valley Chardonnay

2021 Clare Valley Chardonnay

2021 Clare Valley
Chardonnay

A cooler than average growing season, with no major heatwaves, allowed for a slower ripening period than the last few years, which really helped flavour development. This allowed us to harvest at optimum maturity without the baumes being too high, this can only be achieved with extended cool ripening periods.

Tasting Notes

  • Colour – Pale straw yellow.
  • Aroma -Complex but delicate aromas of yellow peach & nectarines, some greener melon notes with spicy creamy oak.
  • Palate – Shows creamy richness and generosity with the peach and nectarine fruits from the nose continuing on the palate. Lemon/lime citrus acidity drives through the palate and brings freshness.  A fine texture with a hint of minerality leads to a long clean finish.
