Dozen 2018 Polish Hill River Shiraz

Our award-winning, medium bodied 2018 Polish Hill River Shiraz is free driven and full of dark fruit flavours and chocolate. The fine textured tannins and lovely soft oak influence make this Clare Valley Regional Red a perfect match for food but also mellow enough to enjoy on its own.

Tasting Notes

Colour – Deep red, purple hue.
Aroma – Dark fruited featuring plum, dark cherry and blackberry. Underlying charry oak and hints of graphite.
Palate – Full bodied, rich and fleshy, highlighted by dark fruits and spice through the mid palate. Underlying choc mint with firm tannins and a long structured finish.

Notes

A wet winter and spring produced localised flooding in the Clare Valley in late September, which provided the region with plenty of subsurface moisture. Decent rains continued into vintage and coupled with mild temperatures, contributed to excellent fruit and, in turn, wine quality.
